Amy Jade Winehouse (born September 14, 1983) is an English jazz/soul singer and songwriter. Her debut album, Frank (released in 2003) was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and she won an Ivor Novello award in 2004 for her debut single "Stronger Than Me". In 2006, she released her second album, Back to Black. On 14th February 2007, she won a Brit award for Best British Female.

I reported last week that Amy Winehouse was arrested in connection to a video that showed the singer (allegedly) smoking illegal drugs. Well, the police have closed the case, probably due to insufficient evidence or lack of proof as to what was in the yellowed crack pipe. Amy Winehouse will not face charges over video footage that allegedly shows her taking drugs, her spokesman said Wednesday, reports Yahoo.
Spokesman Chris Goodman said police had finished their investigation and confirmed no charges would be brought against the 24-year-old singer.

Mark Ronson said, "I’m not sure Amy is ready to work on music yet." He also told the press that it would take a "miracle" to finish Amy Winehouse's theme song for the upcoming James Bond movie. Winehouse may be working on some new music with her Back in Black producer Mark Ronson, but that doesn't mean fans are gonna be seeing a follow-up to the album anytime soon. Seems Winehouse's label Universal has given the neo-jazz singer (and boozer) an ultimatum. Amy Winehouse is reported to be recording a new song in Mark Ronson's studio recently. Reports confirm that the soul singer was asked to record the theme song for the "Quantum of Solace," the James Bond movie scheduled for release in November (but many are citing a The Sun, a Brit tabloid as the source). I'd be pissed too if I were a cab driver and Amy Winehouse made me wait an hour and a half for her and then didn't pay. After being called to her flat in London and ordered to wait, a cab driver finally lost his patience and upon approaching her place had a little spat via intercom.
