i am so sad about this whole shooting thing in Virginia... there i was rockin' my song about Larry The Homicidal Maniac for the last four nights in a row, and meanwhile, some guy shoots 32 people at a school. for real.it has happened again.when i wrote Larry i was a 15 year old high school student and Columbine hadn't happened yet. in fact, i don't think i had ever heard of a high school shooting when i wrote this song.Larry was a real guy that i went to school with. he wo... i just read that Jenny Lewis has been named LA's Pioneer Woman...
i think that's really cool, i had no idea there was an award for such things, and i really love her songwriting and singing.

Finally...I can sit down and take the time to tell you all about my adventure in the big city last Friday. As you may recall, when last I popped in it was still two days until the big night. Those two days passed like a flash, and before I knew it I found myself standing in the Sunset Tavern in Ballard, Washington. today i am transferring my entire Rick White, Eric's Trip, and Elevator CD collection into my computron.it kind of breaks my heart cause i have had a ritual with these albums for the past 15 years. used to be i would pour some wine, smoke a jazz ciggie and lie on my floor, transporting myself into dreamy listening land for hours.now, i find i'm on the computron so much that i never have time for this sacred ritual, but i really miss hearing these albums.so i'm transferring...
