The promotional-only Johnny Mathis' Feet is a two-disc collection which offers the title track (one of the highlights of the Mercury LP) on the first disc while the other includes a ten-song live set recorded June 15, 1993 in the band's hometown of San Francisco. Given Mark Eitzel's legendary reputation for drunken and erratic onstage behavior, the live material here is surprisingly controlled; too much so, in fact -- many of the performances are rather lifeless, although California's "Western Sky" remains as beautiful as ever and the lounge-act melodrama of United Kingdom's "Hula Maiden" is terrifically smarmy.
