All Music GuideFor anyone who's every had a bad day; for anyone who's ever had their heart ripped out or felt that the weight of the world was on their shoulders, The Alkaline Trio have been there. And on those occasions when they decide not to drink all their problems away, they write a song about it. This time around with "I Lied My Face Off," the evidence of mad heartbreak is still apparent with songs like "Bleeder:" "You came to me like a dream, the kind that always leaves. Just as the best part starts, it ends so abruptly." Ouch. But then there's "Goodbye Forever" which is dedicated to the passing away of one of their friends. Guaranteed that there wont be a dry eye left in the building when ever they play that song live. A short but sweet four songer, the Alkaline Trio can always relate to anyone who feels that things aren't going their way.
