Acute viral nasopharyngitis, also known as the common cold. What a bitch! I _could_ go home from work, but that will diminish my concert vacation time. Then again, I really feel like garbage. Moggers - any tried-and-true treatments for this nasty ailment?

Alice In Chains, having not released a full length studio album of original material since 1995's self titled album, are working hard in the studio to have the record done by the end of 2008. Although the band did record a few songs that were released on their box set Music Bank in 1999, "Alice In Chains" was the final album with original vocalist Layne Staley, who died of a drug overdose in 2002. I know this similar topic has already been fodder for the MOGos... many of us take issue with bands that keep a name that shouldn't necessarily belong to them anymore, but my buddy, The Boy Flood is a particular fan of my rants... ;). This may be a little too early for my next one, but I can't help it if the bastardos at WMMR & their ploy to draw me into purchasing tickets via email, makes me want to shove a fork in my hand. Tonight I decided I wanted to hear Angry Chair on the way home, which lead me to listening to all of Dirt, which reminded me of my senior year in high school. Now, y’all know I’m a dork. i revisited this album today. i have no other music in my collection likeAlice In Chains. i typically do not listento stuff this angry and distorted. but-there is something amazingly appealing about Dirt.(as soon as Them Bones started, i wastransported back to 1992- wheni lived by myself in a small, depressing apartment. ah, those were some good times...) review from allmusic: Dirt is Alice in Chains' major artistic statement and the closest they ever came to recording...
