AMG Review of Lace and Whiskey
Barry Weber
All Music GuideAs the ock & roll that made him famous began to grow stale, Alice Cooper found himself desperately trying to revive that fad with Lace and Whiskey. There are no shocking songs here -- just lackluster melodies that sound like a combination of '50s ock & roll and classic '70s ock. One exception to the album might be the Top 20 hit "You and Me," but even this somewhat catchy allad doesn't save the album completely.
