alright, so i hate it so much when an artist comes out with an AMAZING album. and your just like, wow this is so fresh! and then of course they come out with more albums and they suck ass.
this is way some bands should just not make mroe albums.

I'm not too sure what genre Alexisonfire are classed as now. Probably Post-Hardcore, which is always a pretty weak tag. Some might say Screamo, which is another label I don't quite understand. I'm sure if one of their videos even pops up on MTV it'll get that greatest of "what does it even fucking mean?" lavels- Emo. But are Alexisonfire any of that? I don't really care. All I know is that with their third album, they've managed to perfect capture that type of intensity ... MORE
The first time I ever heard them was on an Atticus CD. I could not stop listening to No Transitory, which by the way 2 years later still is in my top 5 favorite songs ever! So then I did some research and purchased their second album Watch Out! So great then I found their self titled first album and couldn't be more happy that I had found more of their stuff. I pre-ordered their third album Crisis and almost wet myself with total joy when I heard it! I can't explain h... MORE
It's interesting comparing their first efforts to their latest. Wade's guitar work only gets truly elaborate when it has to, these days, and his vocals make an interesting third pillar with George and Dallas. George's scream has deepened, and gained that perfect edge where the emotion is conveyed, but you can hear the words announciated. Dallas' croon can go from plaintive to matter of fact to razor like in seconds. Chris' bass just gets more solid, keeping both the rhythm... MORE
This has got to be one of the saddest songs ever.. it's my favourite Alexisonfire song too! If we could all be so lucky to have a nice boy write such lyrics of us girls!
