Alejandro is part of the San Franciscan Escovedo musical dynasty. His uncle Coke has been part of Santana, Sheila E played with Prince. Unlike those two, he first put his funky roots into local punk band The Nuns. Then he moved to Texas and joined Chip and Tony Kinsman in Rank and File, an early ‘cowboy-punk’ band.
