I couldn't bring myself to completely ruin the perfectness of this song's opening in the title.
The Afghan Whigs are a band that I've always had a bit of a soft spot, but have never loved nearly as much as their lyrics make me want to.
In any case, they're filthy and wrong and clever, which is a high compliment in my book. Go on and give it a shot.

Another quick post - now that I got my juices flowing again... let's talk about a man who can sing the lyrics:

Gentelmen is perhaps the Afghan Whigs swan song. The album that defines their sound and vision. Somewhere I read that the lead singer had a film background. He certainly knows how to craft a deeply personal and vivid journey using both lyric and sound. Anyone who is a Smith's fan should take a listen to this work. It must have been...96? Or 95 maybe? Anyway, the show was at the Newport Music Hall and Greg Dulli was giving lessons in 'Frontman 101'....the guy oozes charisma. He is cool personified...guys wanna be him, girls wanna be with him...he is the man. And nobody has ever made smoking look cooler.
