First time I heard this song, it was like a medival song put to a beat and rapped over by someone who was on drugs. Awesome! Then I really started listening to it heavily. (All this is like 5 years ago, mind you) And it honestly became an anthem. It's like a backpackers anthem. Ok, so speaking as a music nerd with a base background in some punk and ska (though I've grown out of it) , there's a handful of genre's that havent gotten the attention from me that they probably deserve. The most noteable of which is hip-hop. I like a track here and a track there, but more or less, I'm let down. That is until I found Aesop Rock. I could listen to his Labor Days album for hours on end. Its just, for me, what good hip hop is. Predominately positive lyr... MORE
Aesop Rock is amazing. As Dylan from Chappelle's Show's 'Making the Band' would say, "He spits hot fire." His lyrics are mind-blowing. Everyone should check out "Labor Days" or his newest album,"Fast Cars, Danger, Fire and Knives".
