All Music GuideMarrying the smooth tones of soul with the soft flavorings of chamber pop, the debut EP from A Girl Called Eddy is as poignant as it is alluring. Starting with the opening track, "Heartache," Eddy Moran bestows the passion of a hopeless romantic. Hearts have been broken and tears are streaming. Her "orchestra" lends the emotional energy to complement Moran's somber vocals, while the spotlight is on her and an acoustic guitar for "The Same Old Tears." Listening to these 18 minutes of grief after a break-up may give you tears as well.
