Last night’s Oscars were a lot of fun, despite former Kids Choice Awards host Hugh Jackman conducting the ceremony. The songs this year were particularly good, and particularly guilty. A.R. The award for 'Best Original Song' was one of the eight Oscars which Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire received during the 2009 Academy Awards last night. Indian Composer A. R Rahman accepted the 'Best Original Song' award. In his acceptance speech he hailed "all the people from Mumbai and the essence of the film, which is about optimism and the power of hope and our lives".
