Seems like ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead caught a ration of shit from some folks for the way they cleaned up and re-tooled this cut from the ultimate lo-fi Guided By Voices "Bee Thousand". It didn't help that while they do not take credit for the song, the cd does not designate that it is not theirs. At any rate, I think it's a pretty nice homage.

...Trail Of Dead stopped by my place of work yesterday for a little in-store. Haven't seen the boys in eight or nine years nor have I paid any attention to them except reading the constant glowing reviews for each successive album. Back then they were brash, heavy, snotty and violent, even managing to get themselves thrown out of the 400 Bar for throwing bottles (and being Grade-A Assholes).
