I have to say, I love it when my favorite bands come down to South Florida, but even better, when they headline the show. After a handful of years, Chevelle finally headlined, makiing my sunday night real special. They no longer open with Family System, which i thought was set for life because of the song's aggressive nature and way of getting the crowd riled up. But change is good, and hearing and watching them play their new stuff from Vena Sera is great! They truly bring a new atmosphere of energy to the stage with their new (but not so recently added) bassist Dean, even though that hilarious picture of Britney Spear's shaved head is no longer a part of the show. Their set included crowd favorites The Red, Send The Pain Below, Forfeit, and The Clincher; the new stuff Braniac, Well Enough Alone, Straight Jacket Fashion, Saturdays, and one of my favorite I Get It, also some of the "classics" SMA from Point#1 and Comfortable Liar from WWN. You know it was a good show when all you want to do is crash as soon as you get home.Through the many songs played, Pete highlighted one song which may just be the next single for their album Vena Sera....enjoy!
