Boy, what an appropriate name for a song as it relates to this time of year, at least where I'm from (Boston). These past couple weeks have been typical New England weather for September. It's 80 then it's 60 then it's 40, then it's back up to 80 again. The leaves are turning, I saw my breath the other day in the morning and the school buses are f*cking up my morning commute. Though it's not officially Fall yet, Fall is indeed here, and with the beginning of Fall almost always comes the typical Indian Summer. The world-famous Rawkkiddo graciously explained how the changing of seasons often alters his music tastes du jour, a symptom that I am very familiar with [Rawk, I meant to comment that 'New Hampshire' by Matt Pond PA, who I believe is one of your favs, is the song that always makes me reminisce of Autumn].
As if it was a sign (think Ace of Base, not anything religious or anything like that), an artist and fellow Mogger who I probably have featured way too much on my page helped score a new film about Kurt Cobain called Kurt Cobain: About a Son. Along with one of the instrumental score tracks, Ben Gibbard also contributes a great cover of Calvin Johnson's (I don't think it is the same freak of nature/rookie Wide Receiver from the Detroit Lions) Indian Summer, and what Mr. Gibbard has given to me to listen to, I now give to you to listen to.

You are so right about Matt Pond PA, his music is usually the soundtrack for my autumns as well as my winters. This song though, man feels good to listen to it on a night like tonight
