Is this funky enough for Funky Friday?

I'll be friggin honest, I don't know funky. Like not even close. But hell, I'll give it another shot. This past Tuesday I picked up 3 albums. I batted a thousand when it came to quality choices.Talib Kweli's Eardrum is fucking outstanding (track post coming soon). The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter is also tremendous and really adds to the man's musical repertoire (my 6th grade History teacher Mr. Leavitt would be impressed that I just used the word repertoire). I will also try to post something from that as well...But this is "Funky Friday," so the album that best represents the funk genre is Galactic's new one, From the Corner to the Block. Admittedly, I didn't really know what to expect and I had only heard them briefly before I picked this up, however, my man from Boston Mr. Lif was a guest MC on the album so I figured I'd give it a shot (besides it was like $8.99 and I'm rich bitch). The whole album is pretty damn good, I was pleasantly surprised... it feels good to pick an album up on a whim that proves to be good sh*t. Anyway, here is "What You Need" from the album:
