Everything from the ultra-intriguing name to the pulp/noir crime art work of this band just drips of cool. They are a female fronted five-piece from the UK for whom the most obvious point of reference is The Jesus & Mary Chain, though perhaps could best be considered The Mary & Mary Chain. The pop hooks similarly struggle to shine through the distorted din of guitars though are helped somewhat by having a smoky-voiced vixen singing as opposed to squabbling Scottish siblings. At present they have released a string of sold-out singles and EPs, although a CD compilation of all 27 of their tracks is out on Squirrel records - and had me firing up my paypal account - though seems to have also sold out, thus have been left to wear out their myspace player in the meantime.
