WHERE MUSIC LISTENS TO YOU

Jeff Buckley: Live in Chicago

Posted over 2 years ago
Although I already had Jeff Buckley's album "Grace" on my iPod, it had been a while since I had listened to it and I was reminded of it when Lizziegreeneyes mentioned him in one of her posts last week.Whilst doing some research online, I discovered that there was a DVD released in 2000 of his 1995 concert in Chicago at the Caberet Metro, where he played tracks from "Grace," so I decided to rent it from Netflix.Well, I finally had a chance to sit down and watch it last night and it was truly an amazing concert! Here's some clips from the show I culled online.

Jeff singing Grace
Jeff and band playing Vancouver
Here's Jeff performing So Real with his band, although this is not from the "Live From Chicago" DVD.
And finally, here's Jeff performing the song he's best known for covering (Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah) from a concert in Japan in January 1995.Hope y'all enjoy!

  3. moovyphreak says Yeah, although he seemed like kind of a quiet guy, the stage was where he really shined. And that voice, especially on "Corpus Christi Carol" was like none other. I'm so happy he was able to share his talent with us before his untimely death.
