hellloooooo out there! haven't blogged for a while. I survived October (barely) and thank God it's November, my birth month and supposedly us Scorpios are supposed to get a lot of crazy change and success and great things this month, so BRING IT ON! haha... i've been working really hard on learning and using all this new gear I got for my studio- and went in and out of MIDI hell a few weeks ago, and then got crazy sync-ing loops and things and - then upgrading microphone set-up had me crazy singing all hours of the night testing things out and - now I admit I'm a bit exhausted. I burned my little wick right out, I did. But I'm making progress on a new "record" or "clump of tunes" or whatever we're going to call this process now. I love the convenience of working on my computer - recording digitally - but I miss the "olden days" with the big boards and couches to crash on, while someone else did the editing and vocal comping... not to mention - the "break room" where you raid the fridge and talk endlesslly about stupid shit because you're so wired from recording... now it's just me and my machines - until such time I decide I have done all I can. Okay I'm boring myself here, sorry. Well, elections coming up?!! I'm so tired of these stupid ads - dorky politicians trying to be clever - they all seem like weazels. I hope someone's going to actually DO something!!! You know??? Please??? Stop yabbering about the same crap and do something!!!Anyway back to music. I sure do love me some Junior Boys right now. Also, finding some soothing good place still when I listen to the Blue Nile. The Notwist. Some old Buffalo Tom... and even Tracy Chapman, as I sipped some coffee this morning after last night's wicked late computer recording hangover... ugh!Hope it will all be worth it hahamollyb
