Madlib must be a very busy man. Recently he dropped a full bonus disc of remixes into the already brimming release of CHAMPION SOUND, the magical double album by the dynamic duo Jaylib that is due on Stones Throw June 19th. Meanwhile he has been working on Volume 3 of the Beat Konducta series which will be released only on vinyl sometime in early July.

Tracklist For BEAT KONDUCTA in India:

01 Enter: Hot Curry 02 Indian Hump 03 Movie Finale 04 Raw Tranquility Pt. 3 05 Freeze 06 Masala 07 Onthatnewthing 08 Indian Deli 09 The Rumble 10 Dancing Girls Theme 11 Piano Garden 12 Dark Alley Incidental Music 13 Early Party 14 Fifth Chant 15 The Rip Off (Scene 3) 16 Sitar Ride

Madlib also produced the upcoming compilation, Yesterdays Universe featuring the Yesterdays New Quintet plus 10 new groups. That album drops on July 17th. AND as if that wasn't achieving enough, he is produced an instrumental to be combined with the sultry jazz-influenced vocals of Norah Jones that will appear on Talib Kweli's upcoming album, Ear Drum. The song is called "Soon The New Day" and the album will be available in July.

In the meantime, you can listen to quite a few Madlib projects on any of these pages:

You can also download a whole free mp3 bootleg on the Madlib/Stones Throw page. I guess they got hold of a bootleg of one of his concerts, and since it is unofficial, they are providing it for free! It's the Live At Chocolate City CD....

I'm right know just getting known to Madlib and his many aliases. He has been really busy as it seems. Neither my beloved DJ Shadow nor any other producer, I appreciate, has such a list of releases. Enough material to revise. I'm especially curious for his Bluenote-"Mashup" 'Shades of Blue' as I'm also into jazz. Nice post.
