Billboard reported today about upcoming albums from Common and Ludacris, both of which sound tight as hell. Common gave the press a preview of 8 songs last night which Billboard describes as, "an electro-tinged departure from the MC's previous lyric-driven albums." Common told them:
"I created this music for the summer time, it's about feeling good," Common tells Billboard.com. "This is the type of music I felt was missing from my body of work."
As for a new Ludacris album, it's called Theater of the Mind and it's due out September on Def Jam. Ludacris told Billboard that the whole album will have a touch of the theatrical and it includes "Let's Stay Together," produced by DJ Paul of Three6 Mafia. It was also reported that 9th Wonder contributed as well as DJ Don Cannon, Dre & Vidal. He says he doesn't know what will be the first single, but something should be available in June or July.
