The Specials just confirmed that all 7 original members have reunited the legendary band! They've been rehearsing and plan to rehearse all through the summer. No live dates have been booked yet, but they told BBC Radio that they hope to tour in September/October. Vocalist Neville Staple said:
"We're just seeing how it goes. You don't wanna go out there as some old geriatrics – not me. What we've got to do is make sure the music at least is right."

Saw 'em in 1980 in New York (Staten Island, actually - the only time I ever heard of a name band actually playing Staten Island....). They expended twice as much energy as any band I've ever seen on a stage. I hope they don't hold themselves to their former standards....
