Liars will join Kenneth Anger in Austria at the end of April to present 2 exciting new works at the Donaufestival. It kicks off with the world premiere of Anger's feature film "Ich Will! (I Want!)" followed by a live A / V performance by Technikolor Skull (Anger + Liars + guests). Anger describes the film:
Ich Will! is a study of the Hitler Youth - the Jugend. It's a visual poem in which I make a parallel between the Hitler Jugend and the Wandervogel movement which preceded it. ItÂ..s all a case of male bonding and exploiting it for good or bad. Just kids going out and sleeping in the forest and hiking - that sort of thing. Of course I have an ironic twist on it.
What a perfect combo! Liars' dark and moody art-rock in an orgy with Kenneth Anger's otherworldly visions and occult perspectives. No one has ever witnessed a Technikolor Skull performance. What do you suppose it will be like?

Now, that's entertainment! As a teenager, I saw an art-gallery revival of Anger's 1969 film, "Invocation of My Demon Brother," with music by none other than Mick Jagger. Scarred for life, I tell you.

True. I am unfazed by anything life has to offer or dumps in my way - and I owe it all to Anger. (heh)
