The grime scene is issuing a one-two punch kind of marketing this year. Just when you start to wear out one awesome album from playing it too much, another awesome album hits the streets. My fave this year has definitely been Wiley's Playtime Is Over, released via Big Dada, and while I'm not tired of the album yet, I have been wishing that there was another eski-album of this caliber to alternate on my ears. Somebody else must have thought the same thing because we are about to get another excellent album. UK DJ and grime-afficionado Logan Sama has compiled a "Best Of" collection from the Tunnel Vision mixtape series onto a 2 disc set.
The album is called EskiBoy the best of TUNNEL VISION compiled by Logan Sama and it features the best tracks from volumes 1-5 of the Tunnel Vision mixtape series.
The double disc album will be available on September 17th - the same day that Skepta's full-length album comes out, coincidentally. So the 17th is the big day, and we can get TWO excellent eski-beat records in one day!
The Tunnel Vision compilation will be available in the UK from HMV or Virgin as well as online (worldwide) from hmv.co.uk and ukrecordshop.com
