I posted awhile back that reggae singer Jah Cure will likely be released from prison this summer and that a big music festival has been organized to celebrate his freedom and first live performance in 8 years. Well, Curefest has announced a lineup of confirmed artists, with more big names being added up until the festival weekend - August 24-26th. So far the roster includes:Curefest Lineup Capleton Morgan Heritage Richie Spice Ce'Cile Beenie Man D'Angel Movado Gyptian Bounty Killa I Wayne Wayne Marshal Junior Reid Etana Taurus Riley Jigsy King Half PintJah Cure will be celebrating and giving thanks for his freedom, while the festival will highlight reggae and dancehall music with a positive message. I wonder how Movado made it onto this list? And will he be disqualified after last weekend's brawl in Barbados? His mentor, Bounty Killer, also seems an odd choice for this fest. Maybe the 2 dancehall deejays will make a bold statement and use this opportunity to sign the Reggae Compassion Act....Curefest takes place on the north coast of Jamaica in August.source
