Lady Saw Turns Amy Winehouse's "Rehab" Into Dancehall Hit! Cham Tells His "Ghetto Stor...

Over this past summer, I had the great fortune of attending and documenting 2 major reggae festivals in Long Beach, California. The Caribbean Summer Festival and the Seabreeze Festival both featured amazing performances by dancehall legends Lady Saw, Shabba Ranks, Sizzla, Junior Reid, Cham, Warrior King, Elephant Man and many more. Recently, I started uploading the video and photos I captured at the 2 events to my youTube and flickr pages. So far, I've only managed to edit and upload the photos and video from the CaribSumFest and haven't gotten to the Seabreeze ones yet. Here's highlights from the CaribSumFest, with links to see more at the end of this post. I'll post again when I get the Seabreeze Fest up too.

Some of the best parts of seeing these artists live, was the mash-ups they created of their own tunes with mainstream pop artists' hits.

Lady Saw 'translates' her hit tune "Sycamore Tree" 'for the yankees' by singing her own version of Amy Winehouse's "Rehab"! I couldn't believe my ears!
