Busy Signal Hooks Up With ATL's Lloyd On BBC Radio, New Album Gets Pushed Back

Posted about 1 year ago

An update to my previous posts about Busy Signal's new album (if you missed out, just click Busy's name tag at the top of this post). His latest opus was due to drop today, but instead it's been pushed back. Word on the street is that the album will drop later this month, on September 23rd. I haven't received official word from his label, so this is unconfirmed at this time. Sounds like Busy is having a string of tuff times lately. I was scheduled to interview him twice in the last month and both times it had to be rescheduled. The first time was because he was held up at the Embassy for hours and the second time was a hurricane hitting his family's home. Our prayers for his family's safety and recovery go out to him. Hopefully he'll hit a string of good luck and we'll still get a chance to chat!

Meanwhile, Busy Signal continues globetrotting. He was in England last weekend and probably in Japan right now. While in England, he stopped by Tim Westwood's BBC radio studio and dropped this mad biznizz:

The "Tic Toc" tune is off Busy's upcoming new album, Loaded. That's Atlanta's Lloyd bustin rhymes with Busy Signal while BBC's Robbo Ranx and Chris Goldfinger look on/jam out. The esteemed Gabriel Heatwave posted his commentary of this video on his blog:

It's cool to see two artists so clearly enjoying each other's styles even though Lloyd gallantly admits that he "couldn't understand everything but can feel where Busy was coming from with it". Check how pleased Busy Signal looks with the whole situation while Lloyd sings over the Jail rhythm track.
