I can't decide if he's channeling a 70's rocker (can't put my finger on who though) or if he's been hanging out with Tommy Sunshine too much. Either way, I like the song "Gamma Ray" a lot, especially because it sounds a lot like the tunes on Mellow Gold which is my fave Beck album. Here's the new video, let me know what you think:

Of course, the song really is Beck through and through. He stays true to originality on his new album Modern Guilt. But for some reason, the video leaves me with a strong impression that a dead rocker from the 70's had an influence. Is it just the long flowing hair that I'm not used to seeing on the golden boy? And his new closet full of bohemian-era fashions?
