Dr. Dre Album "Detox" To Be Marketed With "Aftermath Cognac" + Sparkling Vodkas

Posted about 1 year ago

How's this for irony: At the same time Dr. Dre releases his long-awaited Detox album, Drinks America will be releasing the first Dre-endorsed alcoholic beverages. Europe will soon have access to Aftermath Cognac as well as sparkling vodka drinks from Drinks America's joint partnership with Dre and Interscope Geffen A&M Records. Somehow, the partnership intends to cross market the album and the drinks, though it sounds like a bad pairing. But, I guess it's not much different than Amy Winehouse singing against rehab while stashing drugs in her 'do, so maybe it'll work. The drinks and the album are all due sometime this Fall.

I'd prefer they not taint the album I've been waiting for since high school with bullshit advertising deals thank you very much.

But if this is the only way we'll actually hear detox...... i guess

Good move on Dre's part. Cross marketing . I remember when Asha Puthli's "I dig Love " was paired with Champagne and "Right Down here with wine.
