2 Different Videos For Coldplay's "Viva La Vida"! Which Do You Prefer?

As The Queen's Princess alerted us last week, Coldplay released the brand new video for "Viva La Vida." It's a gorgeous video with vibrant colours and dramatic videography. Today, however, an alternate version popped up at OnSmash and it's completely different than the "official" version. Where the 1st video is intensely high quality, this 2nd one is intentionally grainy. And the story-lines are a bit different too. When I think of the 1st version, I can't get that image of Chris' insanely blue eyes out of my mind. It's almost creepy! But the alternate version visually follows the plot more, which focuses on the man who "used to rule the world" but now "walks the streets alone." Here's the "new" alternate video for "Viva La Vida":

Which one do you like better? Do you think they could have been blended together into one video, or better on their own?

both don't work for me....
Chris annoys me alot in the official one, so I guess I prefer the new version, ugly robe and all. I also tend to like more literal/narrative videos in general. I wonder why they made 2 anyway?
There is a band out there claiming that Coldplay stole their song. Its pretty wild how close the two songs are.

Course then I listened to Joe Satriani's song "If I could Fly" They all sounded very similar. Anyone notice that at all?
Oh yeah.. both videos I didn't care for. I liked the original iTunes vid.
wait - the iTunes vid is different than both of these? i didn't dl it from iTunes, but i saw a video on youTube that was labeled as the iTunes version and it was the same as the "official" version. if there is a 3rd one out there, please let me know. maybe describe it a tiny bit too, so i know what to look for...

I could be wrong, but I think Kori was refering to the ipod commercial with this song.

Havent really got the time - but here goes...
TBH didnt know there was 2 or 3 versions out. Other things like work etc been taking priority lately.
I like both versions but tend to agreed am surprised they didnt try to combine them into one
There's a lot of 'anti-coldplay' comments on mog but hey that what its all about. We're all entitled to our likes and dislikes. I just dont voice my dislikes.
As for Chris's blue eyes - aint they to die for ?
