B-More Club Queen K-Swift Died Monday Morning In Pool Accident

Sad and tragic news struck the B-more club scene and fans worldwide today - beloved K-Swift drowned at her own pool party this morning. Born Khia Edgerton, but better known as the Baltimore Club Queen K-Swift, died amongst freinds and family while waiting for EMTs to arrive. The Unruly Family released this statement (reprinted from MadDecent):

It's with the deepest regret, the heaviest heart, and in a state of an almost paralyzing shock that we're to report that the Queen of Baltimore Club Music died last night due to a drowning accident in the swimming pool at her home. This information is coming directly from our family at Unruly, and as soon as a more detailed explanation is available, we'll be sure to pass that info along.

One report suggests that lifeguards were on duty, but the pool was "cloudy" and the area "dimly lit." As many who knew the 28 year old dj are commenting today, this is a huge loss for Baltimore and the music industry at large. K-Swift was a well-known local star, "beyond celebrity status," and reportedly the only female in her niche. According to her myspace bio, "K-Swift began DJing at the age of 11; now 14 years later, she's not only Baltimore's only female DJ, but she's also the only female Mix Show Coordinator in the country!"

As a testament to her status, the 50 people who left comments on this angelic photo (found in her myspace albums) within the last 8 hours, have all changed their myspace names to something with "R.I.P. K Swift".
