Dandy Warhols fans - if you're so excited about the upcoming new album, Earth To The Dandy Warhols, that you just can't wait until its August 19th release date, I have good news! First up, you can download the 1st single from World's Fair, right here:
Next, World's Fair Label Group teamed up with Music Monitor Network, the Alliance of Independent Music Stores, and the Coalition of Independent Music stores to bring you a free EP of remixes called Earth To The Remix Vol. 1. The EP will be available on loads of record stores from July 19th until the LP is released on August 19th. Amoeba, Virgin Megastore and Newbury Comics are some of the 400 stores in the US that you'll be able to walk into without a cent in your pocket and walk out with a Dandy Warhols EP. The remixes involve tunes off Earth To The Dandy Warhols which the band is releasing on their own label, Beat The World Records. A press release from World's Fair (who also promotes Sharon Jones, Dap-Kings, Budos Band and others) described the new material:
The remixes move from spacey dub to edgy electronica but are never forced or insincere: the spirit and energy of the original song is always maintained, it's only the immediate presentation that's changed.
