DJ Gee Papa spun records in Cyprus for a record-breaking 116 hours, making it into the Guiness Book of Records for longest DJ marathon. Whew! That's a lot of records...

It took 5 days and 5 nights, from Tuesday June 1st to Sunday June 6th and the DJ was allowed only minimal breaks - to rest, not the music genre! According to a report in Mixmag today:
The 34 year old was allowed a five minute break every hour and if he did not take the break then he could accumulate the minutes for later, which he did at one point so he could sleep for two hours.
The proceeds from the event will go toward helping the victims of last year's fire disaster in Greece.
Seems a bit dodgy that he sleeps for 2 hours, but that's still very impressive. I wonder if he got vinyl burns on his fingers from that much contact? Though it looks like he was using CD DJ decks? Not sure...

How do you sleep for 2 hours? just put on a couple long albums?

I BROKE THE WORLD DJ ENDURANCE RECORD IN 1982 FOR PLAYING 227 NON-STOP WITH 5 MIN BREAKS AND MAX ACCUMILATION OF 1 HOUR AND YOU COULD NOT SLEEP DURING THAT HOUR.
