New AC/DC Album To Be Sold Exclusively At Wal-Mart

Columbia Music only likes Wal-Mart-shopping-Americans. Columbia announced this week that the new AC/DC album, the band's first since 2000, will be exclusively available from Wal-Mart stores in the US. Of course, this may be the band's decision, as they have been highly resistant to adopting the online music distro models that are so popular today. AC/DC music still cannot be purchased on iTunes or from any other digital retailer. Verizon Wireless had a temporary deal with the band to offer full album downloads to mobile customers. But, since full albums are too big to transfer on mobile connections, they were only available for PC from Verizon's website. So, kinda pointless, really.No one really knows why AC/DC or Columbia decided to make their music so hard to obtain legally.
