Tricky Reps "Knowle West Boy" On New Album With Switch At The Controls

Posted about 1 year ago
It's been 5 years since his last release, but Tricky is preparing to work his downtempo magic on the music scene again, finally! The British producer was a household name in the 90's: he collaborated on the first 2 Massive Attack albums and created the definitive trip-hop album, Maxinquaye. His new LP, Knowle West Boy was largely self-produced, with additional production and mixing by Switch! It was recorded in L.A. and London and will be released in the UK on July 7. 1. NWADOC says You're a real bastard y'know. Tricky & Wiley? You're renewing my intrest in this stupid website. It's gotten so bad, stupid indie kids crediting Portishead's new sound to Nine Inch Nails.... God save us. Thank you for actually being intelligent.

I now find it hard to believe how much I loved this guy's music back in the late 90s. Tricky's fallen and he can't get up.  Some people tried to get excited about this album, but a couple of listens and it became apparent that it was, to paraphrase Neil Young, a "piece of crap."
