Wiley is a little older and A Lot wiser this year and it sounds like he's ready to turn up the heat on his career. I know, we reported that he retired and he's done with the grime scene and alla dat now. But after watching this new interview with Wiley, it became clear that he's just getting started. Wiley is a pioneer of the grime/2-step/eski sound, so he's put his time in. But when the spotlight was ready for him, he was a new father and stepping back from the scene (and Dizzee was on the rise). It seems he's sorting some things out and is ready to hit the airwaves running. He's got an 11-year plan that includes new releases and bringing grime to the highest level. Check him out with his new Rolex and gold tooth! He's much more subdued than in interviews from last year. He seems to have refined his youthful exuberance into productive channels and can communicate to the world now. I am really excited about this! I can't wait to hear the new album Race Against Time (due out September)! In the meantime, Wiley is just about to drop Grime Wave, an album of BIG TUNES Wiley has released over the years.
