The Field Cancels All US Shows After Band/Gear Is Barred From Entry

Posted about 1 year ago
Homeland Security stepped in just in time to save the US from Swedish electronica. Now we all know that dance music is a gateway drug to real dissent, so The Field must be stopped by any means necessary. Can you imagine being the customs agent who believes this BS? Well, unfortunately, someone did. Axel Willner, the magician behind the laptop made it safely into the country this week, but his backing band and all their gear were turned away. Since Axel wasn't prepared to tour as a solo act, he's canceled all US tour dates for the Field - including Coachella this weekend! It's possible that the 2 Canadian dates will suffer the same fate. According to pitchfork, Willner offered this apology:
"I'm truly sad to inform that my West Coast tour has been cancelled. My band didn't get into the country and I feel that I can't perform as interesting as I need to without them. Hopefully we'll be back on the East Coast pretty soon without any problems and do the new set up that I hope people will appreciate. My biggest apology goes out to all the people that were looking forward as much as us to attend the shows that were planned. Next time."
