Pete Doherty Is In Jail, Will Remain There For 14 Weeks

Posted about 1 year ago
Babyshambler Pete Doherty started a 14-week jail sentence today, a sentence which will force him to miss the annual benefit concert, Love Music Hate Racism and possibly Glastonbury as well. The charity event takes place on April 27th, the day after Doherty was scheduled to perform at the Royal Albert Hall. Doherty will miss both shows, but the one at the Hall is expected to be postponed/rescheduled. More info at Billboard.comSo, does anyone care, other than the record company who gave Babyshambles a £1 Million record deal?Is Kate Moss relieved that Pete won't be able to attend her wedding?

  3. Jo says 14 weeks may sound serious, in the UK it means probably serving no more than 5-7 weeks max.

  5. Baudolino says Given that his sentence is for breaching probation by failing to attend appointments and/or turning up late, he may not be considered suitable for early release on electronic tagging, which requires him to adhere to a curfew. In that case he will probably serve 49 days, and be released on 27th May
