I'll never use aluminum foil again after watching the film "Nattura" featuring Bjork, Sigur Ros and other famous icelandic artists. The musicians used their international clout to bring awareness to the environmental devastation happening to their green isle by holding a concert and making this documentary.

The film starts with aerial views of the stunning and complicated natural features of iceland. I hadn't realized that fire and ice interact with each other so much there. I knew about the ice of course, but I hadn't realized how much volcanic activity was creating boiling bogs and explosive remodeling of the landscape! It then dives right into the issue at hand, which is aluminum smelting - which imports "white powder" by the boatload from AUSTRALIA!! Can you believe it? Shipping aluminum powder across the entire globe to have it smelted into a product that most of Europe and the U.S. considers disposable after 1 use?! Total madness!
Well, it worked. I care about this issue now, I will honestly change my ways after watching this. As a reward for such critical thinking, the film then switches to a music festival with great footage of Bjork's Volta performance (including the ReacTable synth in action!) interspersed with more experts sharing their individual perspectives on the environmental health of a place called Iceland.
The film climaxes with Bjork chanting/shouting "Nattura" as part of her performance of the song of the same name off her latest release Volta.
The film is just under 40 mins and it beautifully combines nature shots with live music footage, so whatever your angle, it's a must-see visual treat! If you're in a part of the world that has access to hulu video streams, you can watch it right here or on hulu.com:
If you can't use Hulu, there's a trailer for this documentary (with a lot of Bjork) on youTube:

CONCERT FOOTAGE:
No matter where you're located, you can enjoy this concert footage of Sigur Ros and Bjork (this is more complete footage, not broken up like in the doc):
The youTube description for this video references what the concert was about:
Footage from Iceland and the concert aimed to raise awareness of the destruction of Iceland's cherished natural landscape (the largest unspoilt wilderness left in Europe), through increasingly invasive aluminium smelting activity...
