Soundtrack For Lunar Impact [Streaming Videos]
-
Artist:
Just 5 hours left before NASA's LCROSS (Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite) impacts the moon, where it will collect water, ice and vapor samples for further analyzation.
Wherever you are, you can enjoy this playlist of spacey atmospheres I made just for this astronomous occasion. According to our local Moffet Field NASA site, the full impact event goes from 3:20-6am Pacific Time (October 9th). That's plenty of time to kick back, relax and contemplate the vast universe we live in......
Direct link to playlist on youTube if you have any trouble viewing it here.
Start with the entire Gas album Gas 0095 if you have it. It was reissued last year as a DRM-free download, so not totally impossible. The 1st two songs in this playlist are from that album. Here's the rest of the tracklisting:
Orbital - "Halcyon & On & On"
Amon Tobin - "Keep Your Distance"
Amon Tobin - "Proper Hoodidge"
Murcof - "Rostro"
Alva Noto - "Prototype6"
Amon Tobin - "Back From Space"
Enjoy!!

Nice playlist, shame the actual event was such a dull affair...
Thanks.
Boom!
And so..Is there water on the moon?
Though I am not a luddite and I think space exploration is neat, I do sometimes have misgivings about the money spent..especially when 530 teachers aides got let go in my city today. Sometimes the juxtapostion just doesn't work for me, others times it does..just sayin'..
Rev.Jamel and Bob Johnson -Walking On The Moon
Cody B Don't get me goin.

i'm with ya on the money spent. we need to think locally and end world hunger + find world peace before worrying about other worlds. but i'm still a kid at heart and get excited at the idea of unexplored territory and all that.
we have yet to fully explore this planet we live on, while we have the technology to explore space, we still haven't sent a man to the bottom of the ocean. i think i'll make a playlist for that event next!
chthonic subsonics comin up!
