Greensleeves is putting finishing touches on 2 releases that will entice both veteran reggae fans and new recruits alike. Neither album contains particularly new material, but both compile songs that were released over the span of many albums and collected together for the first time, plus previously unavailable versions. The first is from the label's "Most Wanted" series and focuses on the legendary chatter Eek-A-Mouse! The Eek-A-Mouse: Most Wanted album features 12 of his greatest hits, 9 of which are full-length extended version of tracks that were only released as 12" singles before now. All tracks were originally recorded in the early-80's - at the peak of Mouse's career - and produced by two of reggae's finest studio wizards, Henry "Junjo" Lawes and Linval Thompson. This album also includes a booklet of liner notes and archive photographs that have never been published before. For new fans, this is a chance to own a collection of fantastic and fun reggae from Eek-A-Mouse (who's voice has changed considerable since these songs were made). For veteran fans, having these songs together on one album is a great value, not to mention the addition of previously unavailable photos and versions.
