Artist:
Ethan Russell traveled with The Rolling Stones during their legendary 1969 tour that ended with the historic Altamont concert in San Francisco. Many of the photos that Russell snapped along the journey have never been published until now, with the release of a collector's book of glossy photographs titled "Let it Bleed: The Rolling Stones 1969 U.S. Tour."
The limited edition book contains hundreds of pictures of The Rolling Stones tour and, according to the SF Weekly, 80% of the photos have never before been published. There's only 2600 copies, each signed and numbered by Russell and released by Rhino.Best of all, if you happen to be in the SF Bay area in March, you can head over to San Francisco Art Exchange at 458 Geary St. to view 100 of the photos in person. The "Let It Bleed" exhibit runs from Saturday March 1st until Sunday April 6th with an invite-only reception on March 1st. If you have an invite, or you're good at lurking/crashing such events, Ethan Russell himself will be in attendance at the opening reception Saturday night.More info at SFWeekly.com events
Rolling Stone Magazine has 13 of the book's photos in a gallery on their website (my 2 faves are the ones above):Photo Gallery on RSThe "Let It Bleed" book websiteThe description of "Let It Bleed" from the book's website:

Five of them were the Rolling Stones. In the waning days of the sixties, they crisscrossed America, a band on tour and the intimate cadre that supported them, to arrive among a chaotic crowd of 400,000 at Altamont Speedway. One photographer captured the images of the exciting moments, the quiet moments, and the tragic moments that marked this journey. A story you think you know is finally told in intimate first-hand narrative and exquisite rare photography. Ethan Russell brings to life this extraordinary story through new interviews and unpublished vintage photographs in LET IT BLEED: THE ROLLING STONES 1969 U.S. TOUR, a remarkable 420-page collectors-edition book published by Rhino.
