I have mad love for Don Letts and therefore have no doubts that his newest project will be awesome. The former Roxy Club dj produced a film with rare live concert footage of the Clash which will be released on DVD in April and excerpts will be broadcast on PBS in early March. The film is called "The Clash Live: Revolution Rock" and it will be widely available on April 15th. Letts was close with the band during their heyday and some of the footage comes from his own collection. According to a report on Billboard.com today:
Among the highlights are 1977 performances of "Capital Radio" and "What's My Name" for Granada TV, "Guns of Brixton" from the ABC show "Fridays," "The Magnificent Seven" and "This Is Radio Clash" from a 1981 visit to "The Tomorrow Show With Tom Snyder" and footage from the 1983 US Festival, the Clash's last gig with Mick Jones.

The Clash were some of Letts' regular patrons, as were the Sex Pistols, and Banshees. The compilation is called Dread Meets Punk Rockers Uptown and features tunes by King Tubby, Culture, Jah Stitch, Horace Andy, Lee “Scratch” Perry, U-Roy, Junior Murvin and many more.
