DJ Khaled sent a message to the masses today, announcing his new deal with Def Jam. It seems We The Best Music has just teamed up with the notorious hip hop imprint. (Does this mean he's leaving Koch Records, or did he never have an actual deal with them?) Khaled's statement gregariously reads:

"I'm proud to be a member of the Def Jam family," said DJ Khaled. "Def Jam has been and still is one of the most important institutions in hip hop AND music as a whole. I am extremely honored and excited to be a partner with them in We The Best Music. I look forward to creating great music and continuing the success. LA, Shakir and Lenny S are you ready? I am!!! Let’s go!! Caaaaassssshhhhh Flooooowww!!! And remember....We global....global, we're international.....international! We The Best Music/Def Jam....get ready for history!!!"

I hope this means I'll be able to find a copy of "I'm So Hood Remix" on vinyl soon... My source is less enthused.Once again, "I'm So Hood Remix" ft. Luda, Busta, Weezy, Jeezy, Big Boi, T-Pain, Rick Ross, and on and on and on...Man Rick Ross looks wrong in red sweats. Like a scary santa.
