The Zombies, Thunder, Members Of Deep Purple +More Rock For Charity In London

Posted about 1 year ago
Legendary 60's rockers The Zombies are headlining a benefit gig for ChildLine in London in March. The bill also features UK rock gods Thunder, Deep Purple vocalist Glenn "The Voice of Rock" Hughes and DP drummer Ian Paice. Singer Russ Ballard - performing for the first time in 30 years(!) - will join The Zombies for this one night only. The event, which takes place on Thursday March 13th at the indigO2 in London, will be hosted by "Whispering" Bob Harris, a "champion" music journalist in the UK. Proceeds and raised awareness benefit ChildLine (you know, those "When I was a youth, I'd go to my big sister if I had a problem. If it weren't for her, I don't know who I'd turn to..." ads you see in the middle of shows like Dubplate Drama. They used to creep me out, but they're super effective. I feel like that phone number is actually burned into my cortex for life! All the ChildLine and ChildLine Rocks info you need is available from their site:http://www.childlinerocks.co.uk/The Zombies in 1964:A slow rock ballad from Thunder:
