I love Foxy, I always have. Like most Jamaican women and dancehall survivors, she's tuff, she rolls with the punches and spits them back on the microphone. Every once in awhile we hear a softer side of the Brooklyn Don Diva, and judging from an excerpt of "Star Cry" which leaked this week, this is one of those songs. "Star Cry" is part of her upcoming Brooklyn Don Diva which was mostly recorded before her incarceration in Rikers Prison. According to VH1 News:

She raps on the chorus: "Lord have mercy/ I'm so controversy/ Bet you never seen a star cry/ I gave you my life/ You get my blood, sweat and tears/ Hip-hop's bad girl for 10 f---ing years."

And during the verses:

"How can y'all judge my life, like I ain't have a struggle?" Foxy spits. "Sometimes I feel like I live inside a f---ing bubble/ I work hard for mine, baby, I'm a thoroughbred/ And I don't care what channel five and the haters said."
