Dizzee Rascal Gets CD + Bonus Tracks Released In US

Posted about 1 year ago
It took nearly a year, but a record label has finally picked up Dizzee Rascal's latest album for release in the States. Maths + English naturally had more UK appeal, from Dizzee's accent and background to his collaborations with other UK artists Lily Allen and Arctic Monkeys. That's probably why it was nominated for a Mercury Prize a MOBO but received little recognition in the US. It seems it would be hard to chart high in the US or be nominated for awards when the album was only released digitally outside of UK and Europe. Well, El-P digs Dizzee and as co-founder of Definitive Jux, his opinion matters. El-P first put the remix treatment to Dizzee's "Where's Da G's" and then signed Dizzee to Def Jux for the physical release of Maths + English. The El-P remix is one of the bonus tracks that's included in the re-issue along with "G.H.E.T.T.O" and "Driving." UGK also guest on the album; Dizzee was fond of Pimp C and enjoyed working with him...The new release of Maths + English with bonus tracks comes out April 29th via Definitive Jux.Tracklist:World OutsidePussyole (Old Skool)SirensWhere's Da G'sParanoidSuk My DickFlexDa Feelin'BubblesExcuse Me PleaseHard Back (Industry)TemptationWanna BeU Can't Tell Me NuffinG.H.E.T.T.ODrivingWhere's Da G's (El-P Remix) News via NMEhttp://www.myspace.com/dizzeerascalOne of my favorite videos of all 2007 was Dizzee's "Sirens":Sirens
