XXL Magazine Editor-In-Chief Fired Today, New Direction Planned For XXL

Longtime editor-in-chief of XXL Magazine, Elliott Wilson, was "relieved of his duties" on Monday January 7th. A source at the magazine told AllHipHop.com that part of the reason for the change is that Harris Publications, who publishes XXL Mag, "wants the magazine to go in a different direction in terms of expanding its scope." Meanwhile, Vanessa Satten was named the interim editor-in-chief.I guess Harris isn't a big fan of Lil Wayne or the 3 different covers of him for the December Love/Hate issue.
