It's Hammer Time Again - MC Hammer Launches New Dance Video Website

Get your Hammer pants out of storage and start stretching! MC Hammer is returning to the dance spotlight with a brand new website dedicated to dance moves. NME says that Hammer and Co. have been traveling around the US for months, videotaping dancers to upload to the new site that hopes to "upstage youTube for sharing and watching dance videos." NME goes on to claim:

The site will include web-based dance competitions where contestants submit videos that will be judged by viewers online. It will also feature dancing demonstrations.Hammer, who reached the pinnacle of his popularity in the early 1990s with his song 'U Can't Touch This', has built a reputation for being on the cutting edge of technology by using innovative technological methods to advance his career.

Oh come now, they're just pants. I don't know if they really qualify as innovative technology.... :)I hope this reality-dance idea works out better than Vanilla Ice's part on that one reality show...For those of you (under 25) who have no idea who this MC Hammer is, or why I keep mentioning his pants, he was briefly the most well-known rapper due to his incredibly contagious and oft-sampled mega-hit, "U Can't Touch This":The video shows you how the Hammer slide is done.
