MUSIC CHATTER AND MATTER

New Radio Documentary About Wu-Tang Clan's Music And Members

Posted about 1 year ago
BBC 1Xtra's hip hop dj Ras Kwame tells the Wu-Tang Clan story in a new BBC documentary. Ras Kwame also hung out with the band at their first UK concert in 2 years and first outing since ODB's death. It's an audio documentary, not video, and you can listen to it on BBC 1Xtra's website.Ras Kwame sets out to find out how these cats can keep throwing out hits after so many years. It's a great doc with RZA, GZA, Raekwon, Method Man, Ghostface, and others talking about the early years, albums and their 5 Year Plan. If you make it past 10 minutes, they even reveal what the name Wu-Tang means!!! 8 Diagrams Trailer:"Life Changes" from 8 Diagrams

  1. 2Serenity says I wonder if they will do an audio documentary on NPR but their language may be too much for the public?! Gotta give props to the BBC for they are always on the cutting edge when it comes to visual documentaries and audio documentaries. In the immortal words of Wu Tang.."Wu Tang ain't nuthin to F wit!" I am curious to know what else is up with RZA because he is doing the music on a cartoon called Afro Samurai. I have only seen a few episodes of the cartoon. It is extremely violent and has nudity. Not intended for children.
